1. Identify the exact C.P. Company piece
Start with the internal labels and article code where available. C.P. Company has used the same design ideas across many fabrics and seasons, so “Goggle Jacket” or “Lens Jacket” is not enough to identify the exact construction.
Use the full product or article reference to research the season, model and fabric family before comparing condition or price.
2. Use Certilogo on eligible garments
C.P. Company introduced Certilogo authentication from the Spring/Summer 2019 season. Eligible pieces carry a smart label with a QR code and accompanying code that can be checked through the official authentication process.
Carry out the verification yourself where possible rather than relying only on a screenshot supplied by a seller.

3. Inspect Lens and Goggle components
On Lens and Goggle products, check the optical components and the construction around them. Look for cracking, clouding, deep scratches, missing lenses, damaged housings or poorly repaired seams.
C.P. Company sells some official replacement lenses, but compatibility varies, so do not assume any replacement part will fit every garment.
4. Identify the fabric separately from the design
C.P. Company uses Lens and Goggle details across very different fabrics. Chrome-R, C.P. Shell-R, D.D. Shell, Soft Shell, Pro-Tek and 50 Fili can age and perform differently.
- Check laminated fabrics from the inside for bubbling or separation.
- Inspect shiny nylons for abrasion and heavy polishing.
- Check dyed or treated fabrics for uneven wear that is beyond normal tonal variation.

Tagged sizing can vary between eras and silhouettes. Compare the listing measurements with a garment you already own instead of relying only on Small, Medium or Large.

- Zips and adjusters for smooth operation.
- Lens or Goggle components for damage.
- Inside technical fabrics for laminate problems.
- Prints, coatings and garment-dye finishes for heavy wear.
7. Make sure the listing evidence is consistent
The model, article code, fabric, labels and visible construction should make sense together. If important information is missing, ask for clearer label and detail photos before buying.
